The Social Media Marketing Workshop was a success! Thank you participants and partners

8 March 2010 · View Comments

This past weekend I conducted a Social Media Marketing Workshop in collaboration with the NIE Unit of New Straits Times. 45 participants from diverse backgrounds like hotels, private hospitals, entrepreneurs and small business owners spent their Saturday and Sunday with me learning social media strategy for blogging, Facebook, Twitter and even SEO.

My main goal was to deliver enormous value and I spent weeks condensing my experience into an actionable workshop syllabus and materials. Judging by the feedback, the workshop was well-received and managed to empower participants to begin using social media to promote their business and increase sales.

    Hi David,

I am so glad i signed up for the weekend workshop. I'm an amateur to social media and yet the 2-day jam packed course opened up my eyes to so many awesome tools, fancy features and crazy analytics that i didnt realize were so useful or even existed! :-P and having SEO demystified too! Your generosity and honest approach in coaching and sharing were impressive. :-)
Keep up the good job man!
  • Another happy customer! I'm glad I could share social media with you and James. I'm also very excited with your upcoming plans. All the best!

    Hi David,

1st of all good job for the buzzmedia workshop, your workshop is awesome!

I admit that I'm not new to this social media, I've been using it for quite some time. After joining this workshop, I found that my previous strategy for social media is wrong and not effective. You opened up my eyes on how to use it the right way.

The contents of your workshop is super! i actually learned so many stuff there. The note is very inspiring, I still referring to it and test everything that you wrote. I love the workbook very much, I write my strategies and plans to it. This will remind me what should I do, and what plan is the best for me.

Your presentation style is good enough, at least I know what you talking about. You trying to explain everything in layman terms so that everyone can understand. I cant comments much on this because I'm from the IT background, so I already know some of the techie stuff you said.

Right now I'm implementing some of the knowledge to my workplace and it shows some result. Now I know twitter is really something good, I always thought that twitter is where people spamming their products all the time before but now I know how to use it the right way and how to connect with potential clients. Right now, i'm in the middle to increase my facebook's fan and user for my facebook's application by implementing what I have learn from the workshop and love to share it with you when I get better result.

    Cheers!
